Rob Portil is a web strategist focused on implementation of business processes on the web and the development of large scale web structures. He was one of the first web developers, building large scale web sites from the very beginning of the commercial web in the early 1990s. A noted thought leader in Web site design, development and emerging technologies, he has developed sites for The Hewlett-Packard Company, The American Bar Association, The San Francisco Airport, and Microsoft’s ‘Idea Marketplace,’ the innovation site for the Microsoft employee base. Rob most recently managed the design, development and launch of Krilix, The Social Network for Local Business, which focuses on connecting local businesses with their customers through the creative use of social networking.
Rob is also an avid fly fisher, a past officer and president of the Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club, and developer and publisher of Fly Fishing Life Magazine, an online beauty.
