Love your reaction to Sam&#039;s post, and it fits with the thinking that we have at LiveWorld. An online community, as such, is a seldom a one-off interaction and is certainly something that builds over time. 

And as for what delivers the ROI to a company, you rightly point out that it all flows from the initial goals of launching the community in the first place. The community could very well be to drive sales, but it might be for consumer research, product feedback, or even education (for one of our healthcare clients, that&#039;s precisely the intent of the community.)
