Totally understand about the mix of top-down and bottom-up approaches. I agree mass approaches will always be relevant, though (as I suggested) probably less so as social media matures - if only because mindshare will be less focused on mass communications, more focused on niche communications.</description>

My take is that while Peter certainly recognizes the transformative potential of social -- he&#039;s building a company around it, after all -- he also knows that it should be mixed into a business&#039;s overall communications plan. Sometimes -- or often, with many businesses -- that&#039;s going to include plenty of traditional marketing, too.
